Who I Am

I'm Sameer. I study how businesses actually work — not the version in textbooks, but the messy, real-time version where cash flows don't match, ledgers have stories to tell, and a single reconciliation error can cascade through an entire operation.

I'm an ACCA Finalist and BBS student based in Kathmandu. But if you only read that line, you'd miss the point.

The Short Version

I started in accounting because I wanted to understand how money moves. I stayed because I realized that financial data is the most honest map of how an organization actually operates — where it's efficient, where it's bleeding, and where nobody's paying attention.

That realization changed everything. It pulled me out of pure compliance and into systems thinking, technology, and the architecture behind how businesses are built.

How I Operate

I don't separate "finance person" from "technology person." To me, a general ledger is a database. A reconciliation is a debugging process. A financial statement is a user interface for decision-makers. The disciplines aren't different — they just use different vocabulary.

I think in systems. I read obsessively. I build things to understand them. And I have very little patience for work that doesn't actually mean anything.

Currently

Studying IFRS edge cases for fun. Experimenting with AI-assisted financial analysis. Reading about cognitive science, product design, and why most enterprise software is designed for compliance officers instead of the humans who actually use it.
